These guidelines apply to anyone contributing comments to the World Economic Forum blog.

The World Economic Forum provides readers with a number of ways of interacting with its bloggers and discussing its content, as well as the important issues that arise from that content. While we are committed to principles of openness and freedom of speech, however, we will not allow our site to become a haven for personal attacks and offensive behaviour, and so we do a number of things to ensure that the discussion remains civil.

We want a blog that adds value and transparency to the discussions on global issues that affect us all, and than conversation needs to occur in a mutally respectful unvironment. In most cases our comments are post-moderated, which means that we don’t review them prior to their posting. We reserve the right to remove any comments after they are posted.

Your comment must meet the following criteria:

  1. It must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libelous or contain any content that  is in appropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, indecent, slanderous, discriminatory in any way, or that promotes hatred  or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the  World Economic Forum blog.
  2. It must not contain content, material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of or contrary to all applicable federal, state, provincial or local laws and regulations the laws or regulations in any state where it was posted.
  3. It must not contain any content, material or element that displays any third party advertising, slogan, logo, trademark.
  4. It cannot contain any content, element, or material that violates a third party’s publicity, privacy  or intellectual property rights.

The World Economic Forum Social Media Team reads each comment to ensure that it meets the above guidelines. Comments which do not comply with the above guidelines will be removed.
