President Zuma to kick off World Economic Forum on Africa

The new South African President, Jacob Zuma has announced that he will host the World Economic Forum on Africa, in Cape Town - 10 to 12 June 2009. While the main focus of the meeting will be how Africa is dealing with the global economic crisis, the 700 or more participants will also look ahead to next year's World Cup.
President Zuma is also excited that the World Cup will feature prominently in the Forum's programme: "We are delighted that the Forum has dedicated time on 11 June to the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, a tournament that we are investing all our energies and resources to make a success of it.” Zuma said.
