Climate change heats up Davos agenda

@DK – What actions? A cast-iron, copper-bottomed loophole-less guarantee that all entities, state or corporate, with an annual turnover exceeding, say, US$1Bn per annum, will reduce their CO2 output each year in line with the reduction climatologists tell us is needed by (2020? 2050?) to stop further global warming. Furthermore, that corporations failing to meet their target in any given year will be penalised financially and ostracised commercially until they catch up again.
And a statement that participants recognise that ongoing economic growth is intrinsically and obviously unsustainable and the cause of our predicament, and that Contraction and Convergence will be adopted, along with the target of an environmentally sustainable steady-state economic system in the medium term.
If we can’t do this stuff, there will soon be no Davos, and no tomorrows.
