Re “Transportation between China and Europe”,years ago, in the ’60s, while living and working in Beirut, a friend of mine, a photographer, received an assigment to go to Israel for a photo shoot. When he got back he gave me 3 guesses as to the map he had seen behind the desk of the Israeli Minister of Transportation. I said Golan, then Jordan and then Gaza. I was wrong on all 3; he told me the map was of Kuwait.
