Israelis, Palestinians and representatives from the international political and business communities discussed the challenges and implications of the Gaza Disengagement Plan. Although both sides welcomed new opportunities in the region, views on the withdrawal still differed. While Israelis are settling with unilateral withdrawal with coordination for the time being, Palestinians pushed for more comprehensive negotiations. Both agreed, however, that improving the economic conditions in Gaza are in the interests of everyone concerned.
