A walk or taxi drive through central Beijing shows that the city is booming. Traffic jams clog the streets and highways. New buildings are going up everywhere and the shops are jammed with domestic and imported goods.

With China contributing significantly to the world’s economic growth these days, the question on everybody’s mind is: can the good times last?
